Dyslexia Institute of Southern New Mexico
Franklin Thomas Hartman (1956-2010)
Realizing that dyslexic students in our community face tremendous challenges in obtaining effective
therapy in the basic skills of reading and math, Frank accepted a position as a charter member
of the Board of Directors of the Dyslexia Institute of Southern New Mexico, Inc. Under his capable
leadership as President of the Board, the organization obtained registration as a charity in the
State of New Mexico, enabling it to provide scholarship assistance to individuals of all ages.
Students of the Dyslexia Institute of Southern New Mexico are awarded scholarship money according
to need and merit. The Franklin Thomas Hartman Scholarship Fund is currently administered by the
Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico.
You can donate to the Franklin Hartman Scholarship Fund, providing scholarships to DISNM students
to enable children of all income levels to reach their full potential. Donations to this fund are
tax deductible.
